Teaser on UP Photoshoot

As I've told you in the last post, I was chosen by my friends to pose for them last week. I obliged, aside from the fact that I am privileged to do so, for I know they're group of young but promising photographers/artists. We also had this opportunity to give Kat a picnic before she leaves Manila. We'll surely miss her but we're happy for her big step into film making. May God bless her more!

Here are some of unprocessed photos:

Pictures by Pot and MUA was Kat also a photographer herself. I only have unprocessed pictures from Pot, so these pictures are "what-you-see-is-what-you-get" copy. I am still waiting for copies from Ryan and Kat. Since, Kat will be leaving Manila to study in IAFT located at Mactan, Cebu, I'll just have to wait for more days I guess.

When I saw these pictures taken by Pot, I suddenly realized that I am still enjoying summer!!^_^, Anyway, summer was not felt in the past weeks, seemed like a rainy season already but then again it was just due to 'unpridictable' climate.

Tomorrow is a make or break

You've read it right. Tomorrow I will be a "model" for a photo shoot inside UP Diliman together with my Multiply photo enthusiast friends pot, direk and kat. It was kat's idea before she goes to Cebu to continue her post-grad studies. I guess there will be more people coming model and photog alike.

I hope it'll turn out fine...hehehe!

Have a blessed weekend!:)

Sunday at its best!^_^

Sunday around lunchtime, I went to my close family friend's house. It was their village's fiesta. Fiesta is as good as feast, right??? So there!, we the guests were so full! The food were superb! Thanks ate mavic and kuya roland!^_^...'till next time..hehe..^_^

Nice, house too! One of my favorite house, it's as if I entered a lifestyle magazine...hahaha!^_^

After the gathering, I, together with my friends and fellow KKK members and fellow UPians too watch a much-awaited flick Angels&Demons. It was a great movie I must say. A breathtaking twists and turns despite the fact that I own a book. I think most of the viewers also read the book but during the film people were quiet, it's either they were looking for flaws or they were amazed on how the film went.

To watch a movie lifted from a book/novel is really a hit and miss condition. It's either you'll love it or will hate it. For my own opinion, I liked it and I enjoyed the movie. Most of what had been in the book were there at the movie.

What really caught my attention was the cinematography and the graphical aspect of the film. How the anti-matter was captured inside the capsule. A wow!:)

Definitely, a two thumbs UP!Best movie by far this year aside from Slumdog Millionaire and The Curious case of Benjamin Button...^_^, Worth my money, yey!:)

So far as I am concerned, I am very weary of how the politics here are going. Still hope won't die on me. I still believe that this heightened campaigning for the upcoming 2010 election will pave a way for a new beginning.

Fellow Filipino Citizens especially the Youth I call on you!, don't lose your hopes, together we can make a change, together we can make a difference.

God Bless us All!^_^

CHANGE: (I)we need (to) CHANGE!

Last May 11, 2009 I was blessed to get a free ticket to watch 365 Days to Change…Todo Na ‘To Concert at Music Museum. A concert organized by Artists’ Revolution, a group of Pinoy artists that are politically aware and have the vision to rebuild or regain Philippine society’s dignity that has deteriorated through time.

It is a concert for CHANGE, a common call nowadays here in the Philippines. But don’t mistake it as a support for any call of government officials. Who are closely connected with the incumbent administration calling for Charter Change famously known as Cha-Cha. Cha-cha is not an answer for them artists, so as for me.

Change as a person, a change from within that will lead to the betterment of our dear country and fellow citizens. We always seek change, a better change, but have we looked into ourselves? How do we act and think vis-à-vis our society? This was the main question that those artists wants to ask us, not only us who were present during the concert but for the whole of Philippine Society.

Are we really looking for change? And as we seek change, do we have the proper attitude? Are we ready? I hope so. And to be able to attain improvement, we have to be active in any form that we know. From small way of connecting, talking and sharing our thoughts with some people to joining groups that support this change that we seek. We can make a change also just by being simply aware about the issues concerning our society. Be vigilant about any misdeeds by politicians who overuse their power, which is unfortunate for us.

We were bombarded with calls regarding the upcoming Philippine National Election and different initiatives were done but with almost same purpose; to attain a clean and honest election, something that we can perceive as a legitimate election. Many groups are calling on people, especially calling the youth to wisely choose appropriate people that have to be voted into office. Groups that are having same major worry too; that the current Arroyo administration may push some actions to extend their clout. So explains these early campaigns for 2010 election.

As a political science student, we had been exposed to matter of politics, politicking and socio-economic issues affected by politics per se. Furthermore, having studied 1987 Philippine Constitution, Charter Change is not an answer. I will not claim that I thoroughly know 1987 Philippine Constitution but our Bicameral-Presidential Constitution need not necessarily be changed into Unicameral-Parliamentary. We need a correct change, a change with how this whole political system works. No matter how you change and amend the constitution or form of government, if the people were so much rooted with the improper way of thinking towards how Philippines must be governed and how the system should work, it will just be the same.

I heard about this website http://goodbyegloria.com and I must say, the call is just so apt. I am one of those who were afraid with her extension in office. I am young, yes, but this will not be a reason for me not to be politically aware. I am also sick of how this society is governed, but still I know there is hope. There is still room for change. As a youth who is legally of the right age to register and vote, I will definitely practice my right of suffrage. To know more about the registration visit: http://www.comelec.gov.ph/contreg/2010%20elections/procedures.html or this http://www.comelec.gov.ph/

We seek change? Then better pick the right decision on whom to vote as the next President.
